Adalberto Torres

Dr. Adalberto Torres, MD is the Division Chief in the Division of Critical Care Medicine and the Department of Pediatrics at Nemours Children’s Hospital.

Dr. Torres obtained his Medical Degree from the University of Illinois College of Medicine in 1986. There after he went on to complete his internship and residency at Loyola University Medical Center and his fellowship at the Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin.

Dr. Adalberto Torres believes it is a privilege to be involved in the care of critically ill children. For more than 28 years, he has brought comfort and healing to the youngest of patients. In 2011, Dr. Torres came to Orlando to assume the position of Chief of Critical Care at Nemours Children’s Hospital. Helping to improve access to care, Dr. Torres also serves as the medical director of pediatric ICUs at Nemours’ regional medical centers in Osceola and Lakeland.

Among a plethora of accomplishments, Dr. Torres is also a member of several organizations including the American College of Critical Care Medicine and the American Academy of Pediatrics.
