With a remarkable two decades in the healthcare industry, Dr. Crombie will be sharing his significant expertise in Internal Medicine, commitment to an enriched physician-patient relationship, and passion for effective medical practice.

Dr. Crombie has had a general fascination with how the human body works for as long as he can remember. He decided to devote his significant academic potential to the pursuit of a fulfilling career in medicine. Upon graduation with his MD from the Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1994, Dr. Crombie completed his residency at Akron City Hospital. In his clinical career, Dr. Crombie has been a practicing board-certified Physician with Pioneer Physicians Network where he has been exercising his clinical proficiency for 19 years. Through Pioneer Physicians, Dr. Crombie maintains a private independent practice with access to a range of network-operated medical services.

Dr. Crombie’s reputation for excellent patient care has been widely recognized by his patients, precipitating in the Patient Satisfaction Award. He attributes his success to his willingness to listen to his patients, advocating a patient-centered approach to medicine and ability to engage patients in discussion. The American Health Council proudly endorses Dr. Crombie’s open channels of communication with his patients as a crucial, but often absent, aspect of effective healthcare. This professional success inspired Dr. Crombie to consider a teaching position where he can share his substantial clinical experience and train the next generation of physicians. Towards this end, he is an Assistant Professor of Medicine.

To enrich his professional career, Dr. Crombie maintains memberships in The Ohio Medical Association, The American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, and Summit County Medical Society. His professional ambitions within the next few years include growing clinical and educational roles as well as a commitment to the rapidly-changing medical technology that improve medical care day-to-day.

Dr. Crombie is proud to be married to his wife Michelle and raise his three children, Brandon, Ryan, and Lauren, alongside her. In his free time, Dr. Crombie volunteers at a free clinic, upholding the altruistic values at the heart of medicine. When he isn’t spending time with his supportive family, Dr. Crombie enjoys skiing and playing music. The American Health Council Physician Board welcomes Dr. Crombie’s medical insight and expertise.
