The American Health Council has appointed Dr. Ashley Seyfarth, PharmD, as “Best in Medicine.” Only at the beginning of her career, having dedicated 4 years to working within the healthcare industry, Dr. Seyfarth has been recognized for her role as a Pharmacist and the achievement of setting up her own private practice.
First having an insight into the role of a pharmacist from shadowing experiences, Dr. Seyfarth began her academic endeavours receiving her Associate Degree in Nursing, ADN, Biochemistry and Biology, from the San Juan College in 2010. Following on from this achievement, Dr. Seyfarth went on to study at the University of New Mexico, attaining her PharmD, graduating in 2014.
Having only recently started in her new venture as Owner/ Pharmacist at Kare Drug Community Pharmacy, on a daily basis Dr. Seyfarth manages operations in two states, takes care of the cost of drugs, manages and also administers scripts, anti-psychotics, birth control and immunizations.
At Kare Drug they take time to get to know people. They believe that personalized attention, competitive prices, and a comfortable environment are what people are really looking for in a pharmacy. They take KARE of their patients and our community. Services offered here include prescriptions, vaccinations, smoking cessation, TB testing, herbal, essential oils and
vitamins, home safety equipment and medical supplies.
Looking back at her career to date, Dr. Seyfarth believes her success stems from the great mentors she has had the pleasure to work alongside and learn from.
In a continuous effort to broaden her knowledge in the pharmacy field, Dr. Seyfarth maintains membership with the National Community of Pharmacy Association.
Looking to the future, Dr. Seyfarth plans to grow in her role as practice owner and aspires to have full ownership of all the stores.
When not working, Dr. Seyfarth enjoys spending time with her 2-year-old daughter. Her hobbies also include being outdoors, camping and race car driving.
