Ayme Veronica Frometa

The American Health Council has welcomed Dr. Ayme Veronica Frometa, M.D.,  as ” Best in Medicine” in recognition of her outstanding dedication in the field of General Psychiatry.

As an experienced healthcare professional in the field of General Psychiatry, Dr. Ayme Frometa is revered by patients and fellow professionals alike for the exceptional care and treatment she provides.

Dr. Frometa is originally from the Dominican Republic which is where she embarked on her studies, completing her undergraduate studies and attaining her medical degree before making the decision to move to the United States. Upon her move, she was unable to speak English but overcame this challenge with ease, going on to earn the opportunity to undertake her Residency at Bergen Regional Medical Center with a focus in General Psychiatry. During her time there, she upheld the position of Chief Resident. Following this, she went on to complete her Child and Adolescent Fellowship at Brown Lebanon. Next, she was offered the prestigious role of Medical Director in Newark where she oversaw the patient and outpatient clinics. In addition, Dr. Frometa became board-certified in General Psychiatry.

In her current capacity, Dr. Frometa provides medical care within Florida Health Care Plans. Treating patients across the community, Dr. Frometa works alongside doctors from various specializations in an outpatient clinic setting where she aids patients with their psychological needs. Founded in 1974, Florida Health Care Plans prides itself on offering reliable insurance plans and high quality integrated care.

Dr. Frometa is renowned for her ability to provide paramount care to all her patients and for her constant care and precision throughout her work. In recognition of her accomplishments, Dr. Frometa has been honoured with numerous awards including Top Doctor in 2018 and 2019, named in the Guide to America’s Top Psychiatrist and featured in the Top 180 Registry. Reflecting on her success, Dr. Frometa acknowledges her daughter Veronica as well as her godparents, Altagracia and Louis.

In an effort to broaden her knowledge and stay ahead of developments in her field, Dr. Frometa is a member of the American Medical Association and the American Academy of Child and Adolescent Psychiatry.

Looking ahead, Dr. Frometa plans to work as an individual Psychiatrist within a Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS) Clinic. The procedure, TMS, is a noninvasive form of brain stimulation to aid depression symptoms based upon magnetic fields to stimulate nerve cells in the brain.
