The American Health Council has welcomed Dr. Harold L. Chapel, MD, FACC, as ” Best in Medicine” in recognition of his extensive experience in the field of Cardiology.
Dr. Chapel’s academic endeavors began at the University of Colorado Denver School of Medicine where he attained his Doctor of Medicine in 1982. He then earnt the opportunity to complete his Residency in Internal Medicine at Creighton University and his Fellowship in Cardiovascular Disease at the University of Tennessee at Memphis. Throughout his career, he furthered his knowledge of the field through obtaining certifications in internal medicine and cardiology, and his expertise also includes advanced heart failure, cardiac transplant, nuclear cardiology and geriatric care. On top of his medical knowledge, Dr. Chapel also speaks multiple languages including Spanish.
In his current capacity, Dr. Chapel fulfills the role of cardiologist at Banner Health, a position he has upheld since 2002. As a cardiologist, Dr. Chapel’s responsibilities include diagnosing and treating heart disease as well as caring for patients with coronary artery disease, congenital heart defects, heart rhythm disorders and heart failure.
Dr. Chapel maintains affiliations as a presenter with the following hospitals: Banner Fort Collins Medical Center, McKee Medical Center, East Morgan County Hospital, North Colorado Medical Center, Sterling Regional MedCenter and Ogallala Community Hospital.
In a continuous effort to broaden his knowledge, Dr. Chapel maintains professional memberships with the following associations: The American College of Cardiology as a fellow, the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, the American College of Physicians and Phi Beta Kappa.
