Dr. Julia M. Pillsbury

DO

The American Health Council has welcomed Dr. Julia M. Pillsbury, DO,  as ” Best in Medicine” in recognition of her extensive experience in the field of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine.

Dr.  Julia M. Pillsbury, DO, currently practicing at Kids and Teens Pediatrics in her role as Pediatrician and Adolescent Medicine Specialist. At Kids and Teens Pediatrics of Dover, a wide range of comprehensive medical services are provided for children of all ages. Within her specialty field of Pediatrics, Dr. Pillsbury provides services to children and teens diagnosed with ADHD, autism, eating disorders, wellness visits, as well as any other conditions that may arise from bullying or lead to depression.

Dr. Pillsbury began her medical career as an RN, proceeded by obtaining her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree, where she advanced into the role of Physician. In addition to her medical experience,  she was honored to have served three years in the U.S. Army Reserves and four years as a Major in the U.S. Air Force.

Her educational experience includes an Associate of Science in Nursing and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing, both from Gwynedd Mercy University.  She proceeded to receive her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree from Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. She completed her residency in Pediatrics at the Fitzsimmons Army Medical Center. Among her many achievements, Dr. Pillsbury is certified by the American Board of Pediatrics as well as the American Osteopathic Board of Pediatrics. 

Dr. Pillsbury remains affiliated with a variety of professional associations. She is a fellow of the American College of Osteopathic Pediatrics and the American Academy of Pediatrics, she is on the committee of the American Medical Association, and she is a member of both the American Osteopathic Association and the Medical Society of Delaware. In addition, she is well respected for her philanthropic efforts, such as her activism in  healthcare reform and volunteering with anti-sex trafficking groups.
