Marvin A. Leder

MD, FACP, FACE

With over 60 years of achievement in his specialty, Dr. Marvin A. Leder, MD, FACP, FACE serves his patients at Mount Sinai Medical Group in Rego Park, NY and is a respected Assistant Professor of Medicine at Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City. Dr. Leder is noted for his specialty of general endocrinology with a special interest in diabetes, thyroid disorders, metabolic bone disease and cardiovascular risk factor reduction.

Dr. Leder proudly served in the military as a Lt. Commander in the United States Navy where he ran the Diabetes Endo Clinic at the Philadelphia Naval Hospital from 1961 to 1962. On leaving the service he spent six months as Director of the Diabetes Clinic at Sinai Hospital in Baltimore.

His medical journey began at New York University, where Dr. Leder completed his undergraduate degree earning a Bachelor in Arts in 1953. He went on to receive his medical Degree from SUNY Upstate in 1957. He completed his internship at Kings County Hospital Center; and did his medical residencies at Manhattan Vets Hospital from 1958 to 1959, and then at Montefiore Medical Center from 1959 to 1961.

Certified in Internal Medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM), Dr. Leder passed two endocrine modules, 2013 and 2014, to maintain his certification in Internal Medicine. He also completed the Bone Densitometry Exams for osteoporosis as well as an advanced thyroid ultrasound course at Mt. Sinai.

To stay abreast of the latest developments in his field, Dr. Leder maintains memberships with the Endocrine Society and The American Association of Clinical Endocrinologists. He is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians and a Fellow of the American College of Endocrinology. He is a past member of the New York Diabetes Association and the Metropolitan Diabetes Association.
