The American Health Council has welcomed Dr. Sumant Inamdar, M.D., as ” Best in Medicine” in recognition of his extensive experience in the specialty field of Gastroenterology, Intestinal, and Liver Medicine.
Dr. Inamdar has practiced as a Gastroenterologist at the University of Arkansas and Hofstra North Shore – LIJ School of Medicine. He also works with Northwell Health Network of Physicians and is affiliated with various medical organizations.
Dr. Inamdar received his Medical Degree from Jawaharlal Institute of Postgraduate Medical Education and Research . In addition, he is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine in Internal Medicine and Gastroenterology. Among his many achievements, he holds a Master’s degree in Public Health from the University of Albany.
Reflecting on his impressive career, Dr. Inamdar is proud to have practiced in many states and has established research partnerships with the University of Albany, Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and Johns Hopkins University. He is affiliated with a variety of organizations including the American Gastroenterology Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy and the American College of Gastroenterology.
Dr. Inamdar’s research focus has focused on the long-term gastroesophageal reflux condition Barrett’s Esophagus and the risk of arrhythmia with inflammatory bowel disease patients. Over the course of his 20 year career, he has also studied the role of anesthesia in colonoscopy and geriatrics and care in retirement communities.
