The American Health Council has cordially appointed Mr. Jetson Davis as “Best in Medicine.” With over 26 years experience within the nuclear pharmacy industry, Mr. Davis, from Brandon, Mississippi, is distinguished in his role as Nuclear Pharmacist for NuMedRx Pharmacy Solutions.

Mr. Davis was first inspired to pursue his chosen career path after working in a hospital pharmacy while attending school at Mississippi College. After completing his first degree in Biological Sciences in 1984, Mr. Davis enjoyed an early career in teaching. He later resumed his studies at Samford University School of Pharmacy where he attained his BS in Pharmaceutical Sciences in 1992. In addition to these qualifications, Mr. Davis received his Authorized Nuclear Pharmacist Certification.

Currently, Mr. Davis works as a Nuclear Pharmacist for NuMedRx Pharmacy Solutions, Mississippi’s only full-service, independently owned and operated nuclear pharmacy services provider. Having spent 12 years in his current position, Mr. Davis has gained significant expertise in nuclear pharmacy, including the compounding and use of radiopharmaceuticals for diagnostic purposes, white blood cell studies, as well as radioactive iodine compounding for therapeutic purposes. On a day to day basis, Mr. Davis compounds radiopharmaceuticals for local and regional hospitals and clinics, while also working with the deliveries of these radiopharmaceuticals to these locations.

Among the esteemed professional’s many achievements, he is proud to have sat for and passed the Board Certification Exam for BCNP (Board Certified Nuclear Pharmacist) in 2009. Mr. Davis believes his continued success stems from his love for what he does and his care for the people who benefit from the medication he dispenses.

Over the next five years, Mr. Davis plans to continue with his current company, where he can help fuel growth through the acquisition of additional hospitals and clinics as customers. He also plans to continue training additional personnel in the basics of nuclear pharmacy and the importance of customer service.

When not busy working, Mr. Davis volunteers his time to a children’s home and various dog rescue organizations. He also enjoys spending quality time with his family.
