Kevin Bowers

PharmD, BCACP

The American Health Council has cordially appointed Dr Kevin Bowers, as “Best in Medicine.” Working in the healthcare industry for over 14 years, Dr. Bowers is an expert in the field of Ambulatory Care and Diabetes and possesses an exceptional willingness to continue learning and sharing his knowledge.

Dr. Bowers completed his Doctor of Pharmacy in 2004 at the University of Cincinnati. He has been in his current role at Meijer Pharmacy for 14 years. He initially became involved in the industry because he was unsure whether school was for him however he enjoyed chemistry and customer facing roles therefore, Pharmaceuticals was a natural fit.

Dr. Bowers feels incredibly fortunate that his role in pharmacy enables him to not only serve people but to also collaborate with healthcare professionals to give the very best care possible. On a daily basis, Dr. Bowers processes and dispenses medicine, health scans, immunizations and mentors interns.

Throughout the course of his career, Dr. Bowers has been successful in achieving many professional accomplishments, including experience in home care, hospital settings, retail and facilitating indigent patients. Dr. Bowers is an adjunct faculty at The University of Cincinnati. When advising aspiring students he is known to say, “study, study, study”.
Looking to the future, Dr. Bowers hopes to focus on furthering his education and to strengthen his skills in team leading. The esteemed doctor dedicates his success to his faith and his daughter. His daughter is a first year medical student whom he studies with and they encourage each other.

Away from work, Dr. Bowers enjoys helping charitable organizations such as St.Vincent DePaul Society. He also enjoys traveling, reading and undertaking renovations in his spare time.
