The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Ms. Lisa Ford, as “Best in Medicine.” Amassing over 3 decades working within the healthcare industry, Ms. Ford has been recognized for her outstanding contributions, particularly in her role as Pharmacy Manager.

Since her youth Ms. Ford has always held a passion for the sciences and math. She decided upon a career in medicine as she felt that the profession would allow her to pair her two interests perfectly.

Focusing her studies in this field, Ms. Ford obtained her BS in Pharmacy from the University of Louisiana, HSU, graduating in 1989. In her current capacity, Ms. Ford has spent the last 13 years as Pharmacy Manager within National Infusion Services. Displaying particular expertise in Home Infusion, Ms. Ford serves as the Pharmacist in Charge and as a manager. She percepts students and oversees compliance and dosage management.

National Pharmacy Acquisition, LLC, made up of National Pharmacy Itc and National Infusion Services is dedicated to excellence and committed to meeting the needs of its patients and customers by providing comprehensive pharmacy and infusion therapy services by staff members that excel in their field. They are dedicated to maintaining the maximum level of honesty and confidentiality by providing the highest quality of care and services in an efficient and cost-effective manner.

Key services provided in the infusion field include; Enteral Nutrition, Total Parenteral Nutrition, Intravenous Immunoglobulin and Remicade Infusions. The facilities served by their pharmacy provision include; Nursing Homes, Hospitals, Long Term Acute Care Facilities, Assisted Living Facilities, Rehabilitation, Hospice Agencies, and Psychiatric Facilities.

Dedicating over 30 years to the pharmacy field, Ms. Ford attributes her success to her being a hard worker who loves her job and has a genuine interest in her patients’ care. Ms. Ford is also proud to have had the opportunity to be a part of a team that pioneers research for AIDS, to have worked on Home Infusion projects, and gained experience working within a hospital setting.

Looking to the future, Ms. Ford plans to continue on her current career path with a focus on delivering excellence in care.

Outside of work, Ms. Ford enjoys relaxing at the beach and spending time with her family.
She is also known to commit her time supporting the charity, Baton Rouge Ballet.
