The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Dr. Mehrnaz Badie as “Best in Medicine.” Drawing on an impressive 14 years of service, Dr. Badie is highly regarded for her expertise in Internal Medicine, Geriatrics, and Prevention Medicine.

Dr. Badie became involved in medicine due to her family upbringing. Many members of her family are physicians, so the expectations for her were very high. After a personal experience in high school, it was solidified she would become an internal medicine physician.

After completing her MD in Medicine at the Tehran Azad University in Tehran, Iran. Dr. Badie embarked on her medical career. For the past 11 years, she has upheld the position of Primary Care Physician at Mission Heritage Medical Group, where her day to day responsibilities include seeing patients, primarily from the geriatrics population. Dr. Badie sees approximately 17 to 20 patients daily. Her work focuses on prevention medicine, lifestyle changes, and weight loss.

Reflecting on her career to date, Dr. Badie attributes her success to focusing on patient care while having good listening skills. Fluent in English and Farsi, Dr. Badie believes her passion and hard work have aided her throughout her working life.

Proud of her Board Certification in Internal Medicine, Dr. Badie was the recipient of Intern of the Year in 2000 in the Internal Medicine rotation at Torfeh Medical Center, was a Patient’s Choice Award recipient and was awarded the prestigious title of Most Compassionate Doctor.

Goals within the next 5 years include pursuing an opportunity at a nursing home in order to focus on the geriatric population. Above all, Dr. Badie will continue to provide excellence in patient care and education.

When not busy working, Dr. Badie enjoys playing tennis, crafting, and traveling with her children.

She also volunteers at her children’s school, is involved with feeding the homeless and enjoys helping foster animals from the shelters.
