The American Health Council has warmly welcomed Dr. Nicholas Coretti III as “Best in Medicine.” Having amassed over 9 years of service to the industry, Dr. Coretti, from Pembroke Pines, Florida, is highly regarded for his expertise across various podiatric treatments, ortho/trauma, fractures and foot/ankle surgery.
Dr. Coretti became involved in his profession after taking care of his grandfather after he visited the podiatrist to have his nails and foot treated. After attaining his BS from Rutgers University in 2008, he studied for his MS at Rowan University of Medicine and Dentistry and this was followed with a DPM from Barry University, Westchester in 2015.
For the past 7 years, Dr. Coretti has worked as a Podiatrist for Westchester Hospital, a modern, acute care facility with a total of 197 beds, centrally located in the very heart of Miami, Florida. Dr. Coretti’s day to day responsibilities include performing patient care, wound care, and general podiatry. In addition to this role, Dr. Coretti also teaches at Barry University. He attributes his success to parents and the values they instilled in him.
Among his many achievements, Dr. Coretti is proud to have served as Young Physician Liaison Miami Dade County and as Chief Resident at Westchester Hospital. He received the Leadership Award in Miami Dade County, and other notable attainments include the FPMSA Past President Award, the Pi Mu Delta Award, One Mood Delta, PMSA, John Steinberg and most recently, FPMA.
To remain at the forefront of his profession, Dr. Coretti is an esteemed member of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgery and the American Podiatric Medical Association.
Goals within the next 5 years include growing and expanding his practice network with other healthcare professionals. Dr. Coretti also plans to teach, mentor, and coach other young professionals.
In his free time, Dr. Coretti enjoys riding his motorcycle, boating, and the beach. He also contributes charitably to the Special Olympics and the Miami Dade Committee Young Liaison. Dr. Coretti and his wife are also excited to welcome their first child in March.
