The American Health Council has cordially invited Dr. Sadegh Amini Koves, MD, as “Best in Medicine.” Amassing an impressive 28 years working within the healthcare industry, Dr. Amini Koves has been recognized for his achievements as a Dermatologist.

Dr. Amini Koves first became involved in his profession due to the inspiration provided by his parents who are both NYU trained Dermatologists. Focusing his studies in this area, Dr. Amini Kove attained his MD from the Universidad Central de Venezuela in 1989.

After graduating, Dr. Amini Koves remained at the Universidad Central de Venezuela to complete his Residency in Dermatology in 1996. Following on from this and his academic success, he earnt the opportunity to complete extensive medical training through a Clinical Research Fellowship in 2010 within the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at the University of Miami, an Internship in General Surgery in 2011 and a Residency in Dermatology in 2014, both at the Jackson Memorial Hospital, The University of Miami.

Dr. Amini Koves has worked in his current capacity as Dermatologist at Skin and Cancer Associates Center for Cosmetic Enhancement for the past year. Displaying expertise in general and surgical dermatology as well as cosmetic dermatology, his daily responsibilities include all aspects of general dermatology, skin cancer screenings and treatments. Dr. Amini Koves also treats all dermatological diseases, acne, eczema, hair and nail conditions and psoriasis as well as cosmetic procedures.

Offering Dermatological and Cosmetic Services, Skin and Cancer Associates (SCA)/ Center for Cosmetic Enhancement® (CCE) is a private dermatology group comprised of 80 Dermatologists, Nurse Practitioners and Physician’s Assistants at more than 25 locations in Florida.

Among his many accomplishments, Dr. Amini Koves is proud to be a Volunteer Assistant Professor within the Department of Dermatology at the University of Miami. He has also given more than 50 presentations and conferences in national and international dermatological meetings and has published more than 90 articles in the national and international medical journals.

Looking back at his career to date, Dr. Amini Koves attributes his success to his hard work, dedication and nature; he always strives to treat his patients as people. Dr. Amini Koves is honored to have received the accolade of ‘Excellence in Dermatological Surgery’ upon completing his residency at the University of Miami.

In a continuous effort to broaden his knowledge in an ever developing field, Dr. Amini Koves maintains membership with the following professional associations: The American Academy of Dermatology, The American Society for Dermatologic Surgery, The International Society for Dermatologic Surgery and The International Society of Dermatology. Looking to the future, Dr. Amini Koves aspires to continue growing within his current position.

Outside of his work, Dr. Amini Koves enjoys keeping active through kayaking and playing tennis while striving to be in the fresh air as much as possible, having a love for the outdoors. Dr. Amini Koves is also known to dedicate his spare time as a Voluntary Assistant Professor in the Department of Dermatology and Cutaneous Surgery at The University of Miami, Leonard M Miller School of Medicine.
